14 January 2026 by Sarah Colby

Tandem Events has announced that speaker submissions for Develop:Brighton 2026 are now open until Wednesday 11 February.

Taking place from Tuesday 14 July to Thursday 16 July, Develop:Brighton is the only event in the UK that brings the entire game-making industry together - from micro indies to global studio superstars, to learn from each other, share ideas and experiences, network and do business in a friendly and inclusive environment.

“Our 2025 event attracted a huge 5,500 attendees and we can't wait to welcome the games industry back this year, on the 20 year anniversary of Develop:Brighton”, says Andy Lane, Managing Director at Tandem Events.

Core to the conference are the talented and passionate speakers who educate & inspire attendees, across a series of tracks including business, indie, coding, audio, art, design, performance, mobile, discoverability & games education.

Develop:Brighton is inviting the games industry to submit speaker submissions before 11 February. They are looking for speakers from a variety of backgrounds with varying experience to share their advice, learnings and experiences, all of which will help shape the conversations in our industry.

The Call for Speakers page includes details on how to submit a talk, together with valuable resources for potential speakers including talk ideas and advice on how to prepare. Successful applicants will benefit from a free conference pass and hands on support from the Advisory Board and plenty of publicity.

Alongside the conference, the Develop:Brighton Expo will be running on Tuesday 15 & Wednesday 16 July. There are also numerous opportunities for networking including formal meetings via Meet@Develop and afterhours social events such as The Develop:Star Awards which will be taking place on Wednesday 15 July.
