I've spent the last 15 years working in the Motion Capture Industry. After gaining a degree in Computer Animation & Visualisation from Bournemouth University, I then joined Vicon as a support engineer. It was here that I was introduced to Autodesk's Motionbuilder and the concept of re-targeting a set of motion capture markers onto a characters skeleton to produce life like body animation. I wanted to take this technical knowledge into a production environment so I joined Audiomotion Studios where I got to work on games like Killzone and Castlevania Lords of Shadow. I then moved to The Imaginarium Studios in London working alongside Andy Serkis and his team. It was here where I got to use the Vicon Cara system and push their facial capture pipeline on titles like Star Wars Ep VII and VIII alongside Battlefield 1 for Dice / Electronic Arts. I'm now back at Vicon to help them create new products like Shogun designed to help drive the VFX market forward.
