Networking is a huge part of Develop:Brighton and something we know is super important to all our attendees. So in addition to the many social networking events during the day and after hours, we offer an online networking tool - Meet@Develop by BizzYou - which all registered visitors can use before the event and onsite to contact each other and set up meetings in a meeting zone within the Develop Expo.
The Meet@Develop meeting zone is located on the gallery level within the main Expo hall and tables are available to be booked on both Wednesday 27 and Thursday 28 October.
If you'd like to use Meet@Develop, then all you have to do is register for a Conference or Expo pass and you will automatically be sent your login details.
Meetings by choice, not chance.
Meet@Develop will allow you to make your own connections with people and companies you are particularly interested in collaborating with – and others looking for people with your particular skills and experience will be able to reach out to you!
Meet@Develop uses the BizzYou meeting system that helps connect you to other Develop:Brighton attendees based on your needs.
With a calendar you can personalise, it's easy to set up and keep track of meetings and arrange your schedule.
At the event, Develop:Brighton provides the Meet@Develop meeting zone on the gallery of the Expo hall where your meetings will take place
The more information you add the better matched you will be with other attendees!
The Meet@Develop meeting system is FREE to all registered Develop:Brighton attendees.
Meet@Develop will go live a few weeks before Develop:Brighton, once you have registered then you will automatically recieve an email with your login details.
We ask that people wait 2 business days after registering for us to process their details and send them their login information.
If you are not seeing your details after that amount of time, please check your spam folder to make sure it didn't get sorted there.
If you still haven't recieved an email please contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
It is a common issue that when copying the generated password in the login details email that an extra space is also selected.
Please make sure that you are copying the password correctly and have typed your email address correctly.
If this still doesn't work please contact: email@example.com
You are not required to complete your profile, however, it will be easier for people to search for you on the attendee list if you do so. It will also be easier for you to search for people according to your needs.
You can change your company details by going to your profile. You can see that company details are at the top of the page.
Company details are synced across all those linked to the same profile and so any changes reflect on everyone's profile including logos.
To make sure everyone is grouped under one listing, unlink those who are on a different profile, select the correct one and link to it.
These can all be done under the profile tab.
Simply log into the system, using the link we sent you, and find potential meeting candidates under the Attendees tab.
You can search for people or companies using keywords as well as take advantage of more advanced search options.
Once you find someone you want to meet, you can check their availability and suggest a mutual meeting time.
A meeting table will be automatically assigned to you in the Meet@Develop meeting zone or you can suggest your own meeting location.
There is an area within the Expo reserved for meetings, this area is called Meet@Develop. The Pitch & Match system will automatically allocate you to one of the available tables.
You are welcome to meet anywhere inside or outside of the venue and there is an option within the meeting system to let you propose your own meeting location. Keep in mind, however, that if you take your meeting away from the venue it could impact the time you have to get to talks and other meetings. Also, the Meet@Develop area is set up facilitate great meetings - with 20 tables that seat up to 4 people in a quiet area off the Expo floor, with resreshments and a hostess to help with any queries.
Simply select "Re-schedule this meeting" to change the time of the meeting.
As for the location, at the moment, changing just the location isn't possible without cancelling the meeting request and re-requesting it.
You may also try contacting the other party of a confirmed meeting by viewing their profile details and emailing them personally.
Develop is an excellent way of catching up with people – there’s a really nice community feel here.

Develop:Brighton’s a great conference. It’s got a spread of people from all parts of the games industry talking about such a wide range of topics.
Develop always gets put in the diary. There are many reasons to be here, not just the talks, but the networking, people exchanging ideas about where the industry is right now and where it’s going to. It’s pretty essential to be here I think.

I really like Develop, I really like the intimacy of it and I love the location.. there’s a good diversity of talks going on so there hasn’t been a time when there’s nothing I want to see.
It’s really nice to see some of the younger people in our studio come to Develop, interact with other people in the dev community and make new contacts. I think it’s really important to learn from other people.
Develop is the must-attend event for the games industry in the UK. It’s where we all come together and learn from each other. It’s the best way into the industry and it’s the best place to learn from your colleagues.
I’ve been to every single Develop in the last 12 years. One thing you get here is networking - you will meet the most amazing individuals in the video games industry.
Develop is a really great way to network, it’s also great for going to talks and finding that little tip that you didn’t know before and thinking – oh I’ll bring that back to the team!
By coming to Develop what you get is the opportunity to network like you can’t in any other situation. Everyone knows everyone and it’s such a wonderful community feel.
Building games is hard and it’s taxing physically, mentally and emotionally. So being around a community that understands that is great – there’s a comraderie here.
