Launchpad is an innovative incubation and acceleration games programme. We provide games graduates with a funded opportunity to start their own independent digital games studios. The methodology for incubation is unique – Launchpad aligns a team of 4 game developers with industry partners who provide market demand challenge briefs. The team then answer that challenge and create a product that demonstrates a ready customer base and immediate demand, assisted to market by their industry partner. Since the programme start, we have incubated many games and games technology companies, the majority of who have received publishing offers and investment funding of between £150 and £250k. We pay £16k tax free, offer a no-fees Masters qualification and a chance to be the Director of your own games company. So, if you’re a graduate or you provide the right level of experience, and you have coding, art, animation or design skills, apply now!

There’s something creative about Brighton, so it’s the perfect place to have the conference.
I absolutely love coming to Develop, it’s a brilliant, brilliant conference – you just know you’re guaranteed to meet everyone.
Jo Twist, OBE
Develop always gets put in the diary. There are many reasons to be here, not just the talks, but the networking, people exchanging ideas about where the industry is right now and where it’s going to. It’s pretty essential to be here I think.
Ian Livingstone, CBE
If you really want to have a good interface with the British game developer community then this is the place to come.
Develop is a very important place – it’s one of the few developer focussed conferences we have in Europe and that makes it very valuable.
I’ve felt a big passion here at Develop!
Building games is hard and it’s taxing physically, mentally and emotionally. So being around a community that understands that is great – there’s a comraderie here.
By coming to Develop what you get is the opportunity to network like you can’t in any other situation. Everyone knows everyone and it’s such a wonderful community feel.
There really is a huge mix of people at Develop - loads of peers that you can learn from and the perfect blend of every element of game development as well.
Develop is an excellent way of catching up with people – there’s a really nice community feel here.
