Kate's career began in digital production during the dot com boom of the early 2000s. After 10 years, starting in UX, she quickly found a talent for nurturing both products and teams, eventually moving into Business Development and Operations.

Moving over to the games industry in 2011, Kate helped to establish (and later sell) indie games studio Preloaded, before establishing ‘Joy Inc’ to offer business consultancy for creative teams.

A long term fan and collaborator of HandCircus, she recently joined as Product Director taking over the reins of the much loved Seabeard IP.

Having served as a UKIE board member and been listed amongst the top 100 women in games in the UK by MCV, Kate is extremely passionate about the future of the games industry - in all its forms.
